Panchayat Assets
Panchayat Assets are the land, buildings, roads and other infrastructure owned or vested in the local bodies (especially the Gram Panchayats).
The following are the main details about Panchayat assets as per the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act and Finance Rules:
Main Panchayat Assets
Immovable Assets: Land and buildings of Panchayat offices, community halls, shopping complexes, libraries, public cemeteries, parks, playgrounds, markets, schools and primary health centres under the Panchayat.
Public Roads: All public roads, roads, bridges and culverts maintained by the Panchayat.
Water bodies: Public wells, ponds, streams, water tanks and drinking water projects.
Movable Assets: Panchayat vehicles, computers, furniture, equipment, street lights, etc.
